I was at work when the Twin Towers got hit. People were coming into work and mentioning that they heard something on the radio about one of the Towers was on fire. A co-worker turned her radio up, right before the second plane hit. We were listening to the news when they started screaming on the radio about the second plane hitting the second tower. I felt the hair on the back of my neck stick straight up!

I tried to get onto CNN.com but couldn’t cause everyone else in the country was trying to get online and read about it. Our IT guy was able to borrow a TV from the department next door and we plugged it in an empty office where all of us watched with silence and horror at the video of the plane hitting the tower. I will never forget that sight. It was even worse than watching Challenger blow up back then (I was a freshman in high school).

Then, to watch those twin towers collapse,…people started to cry in the office. I had to walk away from the tv because it was all too horrifying. All day, we did no work because the phones weren’t ringing. We just sat around that office and watched the coverage.

I got home later and watched the coverage non-stop till 1am. Next day, we tried to work somewhat but still couldn’t tear ourselves away from the TV.

For the rest of the week, I just had to stop watching the news. It was seriously depressing me and it got so bad that I had to find something fun to do to lift my spirits. I started to paint the eyes on my Volks pre-rooted head. That took me a good 3 hours to do. I’m not entirely happy with the results and may start over.

Anyhow, my heart goes out to all the families and victims of the attacks in NYC and DC. I’m glad to see all the US flags waving proudly from the houses and cars but at the same time, furious that bigots are attacking Arab-Americans or those that look “middle-eastern” because of the terrorists attacks! These goddamn dumbasses should also burn in hell with the terrorists! Skin color has NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE ATTACKS! NEITHER DOES RELIGION!!! Those terrorists died for a warped version of their religion and are burning in hell as we speak!

Ok, enough of the ranting. I just wanted to get that out!
