My brother-in-law bought a wireless extender so he could work out of our attic. I told him about it when he was looking for options in getting a stronger connection, instead of going the route of running a Cat5 line from downstairs to upstairs. I believe he was only getting 1 or 2 bars of signal strength from the wireless router set up in our living room.
I don’t know what brand he bought from Best Buy but once it was plugged in, it immediately started working and I was able to connect to it. I did a speed test and here’s what I got!
Not bad! Saved him a ton of money as he also had thought of getting Comcast to come over and move the internet connection (hard line) to upstairs. That would have been a hassle!
