Remember my previous post about the lack of the new Ecotools mineral brush sets at Rite Aids in Memphis?

The customer service rep. I emailed with at Paris Presents took pity on me and sent me a free set of the new brushes! I gave her the addresses of the 5 Rite Aid locations I had been to in the Memphis area that didn’t stock Ecotools so she could forward it to their sales department. From there, they will find out why Rite Aid isn’t stocking them in their stores here. I do think it’s odd that none of the Rite Aid stores in Memphis have stocked any of the Ecotools line, esp if this new line is supposed to be exclusive to Rite Aid for now.

Meanwhile, on the same day I received my free brushes, I was in Walgreens and saw this new set they put out:

Very cute! Would make a cute office gift or stocking stuffer! I would buy if I didn’t already have the same brushes in the box.

I’ve been lazy to post some of the new stuff I got in the past month. I got these almost a month ago at my local Big Lots. They are made by Paris Presents, the same company that makes Ecotools.

There were other brush types than these but I didn’t want to get too many redundant brushes. So, I just got the Eye shadow blender brush, foundation brush, dual concealer/mini powder brush and the dual duo fiber/mineral brush. Let me tell you, that dual ended brush shed like no other! Gah, it still sheds! The duo fiber part is worthless!

The shadow blender brush is alright. I haven’t used it much. The foundation brush, on the other hand, is excellent! It’s thick and soft! I like using it when I use tinted moisturizer. The dual concealer/powder brush also came in handy too!

The dual ended brushes was $2.50 while the foundation brush was $2. The shadow blender brush was just $1. They also had powder, blush, lip and shadow brushes. The most expensive is just $2.50 and the cheapest is $1.

I’ve heard some people compare these brushes to CVS Beauty of Essence brushes. There is no CVS here in Memphis and I’ve never touched a B of E brush but what they say is true,…ugh, I know I won’t like B of E brushes then!

When Ahleessa did a review on the brushes, I decided to email Paris Presents (the company that makes the brushes) and ask them where the hell could I find this new set.

I received a reply today:

This is a brand new set from ecotools that is currently only available
at Rite Aid right now. It will be introduced into Walgreens, Target and
Ulta in the first half of next year.

This set should be at every Rite Aid by now, but the launch sometimes
takes several weeks for all the stores to get them in stock. Please
wait another week and then check Rite Aid again.

If you give us the Rite Aid store address we can have our rep contact
them to see what the deal is.

I gave them the addresses to the 5 stores I’ve been to already.  I hope they lay it thick on the Rite Aid rep and find out why their products aren’t even being sold in their stores here in Memphis!
