Watching Loewyn grow makes me sad! She’s growing too fast! Here she is with a balloon I got her as she’s so fascinated with them! Don’t worry, I unwond the string around her neck after I shot this. I didn’t notice till she ran off for her book at the end.
It’s just less than half an hour till it is official Christmas Day for me. No typical Christmas picture from me this year as I’ve been busy with a lot of various things going on. One big thing that has happened is that my sister Steph and her family have moved from Atlanta and back to Memphis. They officially moved back Friday, on Nora’s birthday (Dec. 23).
They are all going to be living with us for the next couple of months while they save some money and start to look to buy a new home nearby. Meanwhile, they are going to rent out and try to sell their home in Atlanta.
I look forward to seeing the girls (Nora and Loewyn) growing up now that they are living here. It is kinda nice to wake up in the morning and be greeted by a smiling infant all happy (due to her full belly of boobie milk) and a mischievous 3 year old!
Pictured above is a shot of Loewyn I took with my cell phone last night! She went to bed at 7pm but woke up around 9pm and wouldn’t go back to sleep right away. She wanted to plaaaaaay! All smiles and giggles! We had to wait till she wore herself out and started to rub her eyes! Bedtime again!
Shot this over Labor Day Weekend when Loewyn and Nora came over to visit us for 6 days!! It’s amazing how smiley Lowie is @ 5:30am every morning when her “tank is full”! She’s a very laid back baby that constantly smiles at you when you look at her! Who can resist a smiling baby, especially a 2 month old? Can you?
If you hear chattering in the background, that’s her older sister Nora just yakking away! Gods, she just won’t shut up! It was a constant stream of toddler talk during the entire stay!
I finally finished PSing the pics of Loewyn so here they are! Enjoy!
And my favorite one out of the bunch:
And where is Loewyn’s sister? Here she is!
Nora would hardly sit still for this portrait! She kept looking behind me at our neighbor mowing his grass. Plus, it was super muggy when I took this shot! 6pm and it was like 105F in heat index outside! We hurried to take the pics outside and get back in the house!
More of the sisters:
In case you’re wondering how Loewyn got her name, she is named after her paternal grandmother. Nora, her sister, was named after her maternal grandmother (my mom). Their paternal grandmother is Cambodian. So, to pronounce Loewyn’s name, it is “Low-win”!
Now for the few pics I took of just Nora during her 9 day stay:
I thought this was funny when she made this face in the mirror! Sadly, it didn’t focus very sharply!
Whew! That’s all of the pics!
My sister FINALLY went into labor today! Baby Loewyn was originally due June 9 but decided to stay inside until today! If she hadn’t popped out, she would have been induced on June 23, just one day before my own birthday!
She weighs 7.1lbs and is 19.1inches long! Labor was around 6 hours and took 5 pushes! Heh, Nora was in daycare when this happened so I’m sure she’ll be seeing her baby sister when she gets outta daycare around now.
